Contest Summary
The Innovation Cup contest uncovers the Most Innovative Solution of the Year. The contest will take place during at the 2012 DrivingSales Executive Summit held in Las Vegas, October 21st through October 23rd.
All vendors are encouraged to apply. Five finalists, as selected by dealers judges, will compete in a final demo showdown, live on stage at the DrivingSales Executive Summit (DSES).
How The Contest Works
There is NO CHARGE to apply and all vendor solution providers are encouraged to participate by filling out the attached application form and emailing it to bart.wilson@drivingsales.com by Aug 15th, 2012.
A panel of top dealer executives, will select five finalists from the online applicants. Those five finalists will then have the opportunity to participate at DSES. Each finalist will have five minutes sharp to “sell” his/her product on stage to our dealer judges. The judges in turn will have 4 minutes of Q&A with the presenter and then will silently judge each product on a standardized judging scale. After all innovations are demoed, the judges scores will determine a winner that will be announced at the end of the conference.
Two levels of awards will be presented at the conclusion of the event:
- The four runners-up will receive a DrivingSales ‘Innovation Cup Finalist’ award including an elegant trophy, as well as a free license to use the ‘Finalist – DrivingSales Innovation Cup’ logo in their marketing materials.
- The finalist who receives the highest score from the panel of judges will be designated “Innovation Cup Winner” and presented with an elegant trophy, as well as a free license to use the ‘2011 Winner – DrivingSales Innovation Cup’ logo in his/her marketing materials.
Completed applications are due by midnight PST, Aug 15th, 2012.
Finalists will be notified by Sept 7th, 2012.
How to Apply
To apply for the Innovation Cup, please complete the application form, attach supporting documents and email your entry to bart.wilson@drivingsales.com by midnight on Aug 15th 2012. The applications will be sent to top dealer executives, with all company and product names omitted for their review. This way each applicant is judged on the merrits of their innovation, not their reputation.
You will receive a confirmation of receipt of your applications.
Finalists
On Aug 16th, all applications will be presented to our dealer judges for review and scoring. Finalists will be notified by September 7th 2012. Finalists must register for the DrivingSales Executive Summit by close of business October 3rd and pay a presentation fee of $2,895 plus admission. Unfunded startups will have the presentation fee waived. Participation in this contest not included with any sponsorships.
